Remember a couple of seasons ago when spring color trends were all about candy-color pastels and sherbet hues? It was like an Easter basket exploded all over your clothes.
Spring 2016 will be nothing like that. If the ongoing Fashion Weeks have their way —??and let's face it, they probably will — next season you'll be wearing subdued, earthy tones: burnt apricot, forest green, pale yellow, rusty reds, and antique cream.
Basically, the??colors you normally reserve for fall will look just right when you break them out again next spring.
You may have been hoping for something more exciting (electric violet! hot pink!), but don't worry. Spring's hues may not be super cheery, but they are flattering on most skin tones. They also have the added bonus of look pretty great when paired with dark jeans. And, for the most part, you won't feel overly done up stepping out of the house in any of these colors —??though, there are some orange-reds (Altuzarra, Vera Wang) and acid-tinged chartreuses (Rag & Bone, Kaelen) that are definitely not for the faint of heart!
Scroll on for a peek at some of the shades that are dominating New York Fashion Week's spring 2016 runways, thus far —??and take note: Most of these shades are probably already available in stores now, so wear them now and you'll definitely be ahead of the curve.

Colors this season, transcend cultural and gender norms. Vivid brights give way to excitement and optimism, though quiet stability prevails in this season’s palette.
The colors used in Spring and Summer transports us to a happier, sunnier place where we feel free to express a wittier version of our real selves. The fashion and design communities, and consequently, consumers, have been in love with orange for several seasons. Coming to the fore this Spring is, Peach Echo, a shade that emanates friendlier qualities, evoking warmth and accessibility. It is an all-encompassing, tempered companion in the playful orange family. While the majority of the Spring/Summer palette trends toward calmness, a few diversions from the theme emerge that offer a contrast. With the colour tone Buttercup, designers reveal a shining beacon transporting its wearer to a happier, sunnier place. A shade of aqua that leans toward the green and blue family, Limpet Shell is clear, clean and defined. Suggestive of clarity and freshness, its crisp and modern influences evoke a deliberate, mindful tranquility. Let us take a look atAddadress Spring Summer'16 collection Fleeting Fancies, which was conceptualised based on this season's pretty pastel colours paired along with the season's climate, along with flirty movements to accentuate the curves of the female body.
